Educating the patient is an important part of my philosophy.

Frequently Asked QuestionsFrequently Asked Questions

Q. Can you put me to sleep to do the work?

A. Some patients are very fearful or apprehensive about having dental work done and therefore have neglected their teeth for years. First, I try to calm your fears through our initial exam and consultation as you get to know me and become more comfortable with my office and method of practice. A trust in our sensitivity to your fears and a distraction such as watching TV, a movie, or listening to music is often all a patient needs.

Secondly, to help you relax I can offer you nitrous oxide and/or a mild sedative to take the night before and then again the next morning before coming in. Thirdly, if yoiu are absolutely sure that you want to be asleep I will schedule a Nurse Anesthetist to come in for your appointment to administer anesthesia to put you to sleep.

Q. What kind of problems does Cosmetic Dentistry solve?

A. People are self conscious about their smile for many reasons. Cosmetic dentistry can correct problems such as discolored teeth, missing or fractured teeth due to accidents, crowded teeth or teeth with too many gaps, teeth that are worn down making you appear older than you really are, old crowns/caps on your teeth that look lifeless, yellow, or have a black line at the gum line, or a combination of these.

Cosmetic dentistry solves the dental problems that steal your self confidence and keep you from smiling.

Q. How long does treatment take?

A. Every case is unique. Some cases can be completed in a single visit while others may take several. Many cosmetic cases can be completed in only two visits!
